vial mass (mg) ÷ diluent volume (mL) = mg/mL
10 mg reconstituted in 2 mL gives 5 mg/mL.
target mass (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL) = mL
250 mcg is 0.25 mg; at 5 mg/mL that is 0.05 mL.
volume (mL) × 100 = units
An insulin syringe is marked in U-100 units, where 100 units = 1 mL. That convention comes from insulin and has nothing to do with peptide mass — 0.05 mL is 5 units regardless of what is dissolved in it.
